Dr. Müjdat Tohumcu, Mechanical Engineering, Bilkent University
Feb 21, Friday, 1:40 p.m.
EA-409
In this presentation the importance of product safety will be discussed. As a basis for discussion, a fictitious scenario will be generated. However this fictitous scenario is actually structured on case from real life. In otherwords it is known what happened, but it is not exactly known how it happened. The gaps will be filled by imagination during the discussion. Active audience participation is highly desired. The main message will be, how simple mistakes may lead to catastrophic product safety issues, even within complex and highly experienced organizations.
