We are deeply saddened to announce that our retired faculty member Assoc. Prof. Osman Oğuz passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.
Dr. Oğuz joined Bilkent University in 1988 and served as Chair of our department at various times during his tenure at the University.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Oğuz family and the Bilkent community. The funeral service will be held at Doğramacızade Ali Paşa Mosque on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, following the noon prayer. The burial will take place at the cemetery in Kırbaşı Village, Beypazarı.
